EMAIL
WITHOUT A COMPUTER!
What we hear from the kids:
...Unless I can
fly to my parents' house myself and set up their computer,
they'll never figure it all out.
What we hear from their parents:
...It isn't that
I can't figure it out, it's that I don't want to figure it out! Who's
got the time and the patience for all that hassle?
Sound familiar? Landel MailBug is an
easier way.

Landel MailBug is a great solution
for seniors who want email but who don't want a computer.

Some comments are from
seniors who
received MailBug as a gift, and others are from the people who gave
MailBug as a gift to the seniors in their lives. We've edited
them a little for clarity, but what they have to say is real, and
directly from them.
Your
MailBug is a great success with my mother, who turned 77 on Christmas
day and has never used a computer, and also with a sister who has been
anti-computer, anti-Internet. I bought my mother a MailBug for
Christmas because it dawned on me that, like so many people, I always
called her instead of writing. Since she got her MailBug I've
corresponded with her more than in the previous 30 years. She was
emailing immediately. My sister fell in love with the MailBug. My
mother gave her $100 to go toward a new CD player, but my sister
decided to get a MailBug instead. She was able to set it up herself,
although she's never used a computer, and is emailing like a pro. It's
been a wonderful thing for all of us to be linked together through
email.
Last November, my brother and I
bought a MailBug for my grandfather and his wife. They live in rural
Nebraska, and are on a fairly fixed budget. Unfortunately most of their
children and grandchildren are spread across the country. Long distance
phone service was expensive and was usually a once a week occurrence.
My brother and I began looking for some type of Internet access for my
grandparents that would be both easy to learn as well as inexpensive.
The MailBug was our solution. The system is so easy and user
friendly, that they immediately began emailing friends and family. My
grandfather had Parkinson's and had great difficulty using his hands,
so his wife typed most of the messages. However, he enjoyed reading
emails he received and dictating new ones. Over the last few months I
became much closer with my grandfather, conversing via email on an
almost daily basis. A few weeks ago, when my grandfather had to go into
the hospital, I called him and told him I had mailed him a letter, and
he replied "A snail mail!" Techno-hip at 90 years! Sadly my grandfather
passed away 2 weeks ago. At the funeral, all of the relatives there
were constantly telling my brother and me what a blessing the MailBug
had been. Without it, my grandfather may have spent his last few weeks
with only occasional communication with the ones he loved. I have saved
every email that the two of them sent. My grandfather was only able to
actually type one of those himself. It is only four sentences long, but
I will cherish it for the rest of my life. Thank you for letting me
share the last months of my grandfather's life with him.
My 82 years young Mom is in MailBug heaven! ...She's comfortable
creating, sending and receiving emails to and from her sister in
Tennessee, her daughter and grand-daughter in Florida, other family
members and friends around the country. She doesn't feel
"isolated" anymore and looks forward to seeing the Bug light on!
Your product has opened up her world. ...Now she's "out & about"
everyday chatting with people and having such great fun! I also
have a sense of relief as I am away from her for 8 hours or so a day
and this way, I can "talk" to her anytime! The MailBug was the
perfect solution for all of us!
I am in contact with my daughter
several times a day and my son in Michigan almost as often. I think the
MailBug is great. Keep up the good work
MailBug has been a wonderful tool
for me and my family. I was never much for writing letters but now my
sisters and I keep in touch about twice a week, even my two BROTHERS
are getting better. (They have computers).
Thank you very much. In my circle I
was the first to have MailBug. Then others have bought them to enjoy
the way I do. I love emailing my granddaughter in London! MailBug has
added a new dimension to our lives.
Just to let you know how much I'm
enjoying being on line with all of our children who all live so far
away from us. This Mail Bug was a gift to me from our son and wife and
it's one BUG I don't mind bugging. I'm a happy Grandma who thanks all
of you for making all this possible.
Thank you! We have a computer, yet I
prefer to have my MailBug on at all times. I can easily e-mail my
friends and I usually have a letter from one of them when I wake up. I
bought my MailBug last May and it's really helped me keep in touch.
I am a 72 year old Grandmother and
really enjoying my MailBug. I am able to keep in touch with my family
and friends. I just love it. I even bought one for my daughter in
Washington and have encouraged several friends to get one.
This little machine is the greatest.
It is simple enough to use and understand for people like me who have
not been involved in learning to use a big computer. It is so much fun
to use and I'm able to keep in contact with the family and friends.
I am 75 and our kids all live in
different states. This has been a God-send.
I love it; I brag about it all the
time, and I communicate more faithfully than I ever did before...all
across the nation and to Mexico City and Rostock, Germany. I'm very
glad that someone designed such a wonderful little helper!
Keeps this old 8l year old brain in
service. Thanks. I love my MailBug.
I am very happy with my MailBug and
the service I have received. I bought my mother and brother one for
Christmas and they are both thrilled with the service, as well. THANK
YOU SO MUCH...
My mother absolutely loves this
MailBug!!
I am enjoying my mail-Bug e-mail. I
do not use it very much as I am ninety one years old. It helps me feel
that I am not completely obsolete. Thank you.
I have to say that I have found your
apparatus to make a real difference in my life, since I live alone.
My son and wife gave me my MailBug
for my 82nd birthday last August and I have not had anything I have
enjoyed any more. It is so much fun to hear from friends and family.
Always exciting when I see the little red light flashing. I can't think
of doing without one.
I love this machine and do connect
with many of my relatives and fiends across the country and even at
81yrs. My best regards to this company.
My mother is very happy. She's
almost 86 years old and that MailBug has given her a new lease on
life!! It's easy enough for her to use and she can frequently keep in
touch with people that she wasn't keeping in touch with very often.
Hi Guys! I bought this MailBug for
my Mom (86 years old) for Christmas. It has been SUCH a blessing, for
all of us. She sends and receives email and thinks she is so "with it."
For people like her, and many others I'm sure, I just want to say thank
you.
I am 93 years old and received a
MailBug from my sons for Christmas. It is a great way to keep in touch
with all my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Truly enjoy my MailBug and at 85
years of age can keep in constant contact with friends and relatives.
To the extent that they are contemplating stopping Saturday deliveries
at the postal service. Did not know my EMail had such a GROSS EFFECT.
Thank you.
Again Many thanks for my MailBug. I
am a 76 year old grandmother and I keep in touch will all my children
and eight grandchildren. Couldn't do without my bug. Keep up your great
work.
Thanks for the info. I just love my
MailBug, I am a little old lady that loves to keep in touch with the
grandchildren, family and friends. I have also enjoyed doing business
with Landel. Keep up the good work.
Appreciate your service very much! I
don't have time to bother with the web, and I'm certainly glad to have
my MailBug. Have recommended it to other seniors, and hope some of them
listen. Terrific for people who aren't wrapped up in computers!
